Even though it is still required, upon entry into Portugal, to present proof of a test for any passenger over 24 months of age, in addition to the RT-PCR test carried out in the 72 hours prior to boarding, it is now possible the presentation, as an alternative, of the rapid antigen test (TRAg), carried out within 48 hours prior to departure. Only TRAgs included in the common list of rapid antigen tests agreed by the European Union Health Security Committee, will be accepted. They are available at the following address:

https://ec.europa.eu/health/sites/default/files/preparedness_response/docs/covid-19_rat_common-list_en.pdf.

Passengers boarding with proof of carrying out a TRAg that does not comply with the requirements described above, must undergo a new RT-PCR test or a new TRAg upon arrival in Portugal, before entering mainland territory, at their own expense, and must wait in a designated place, inside the airport, until notification of the result.
